[Pregnancy Progress:]
As of 11/11/05 I took 3 pregnancy tests and all came
out positive! So I went to the doc on the 14th and had a blood test done and it
was confirmed. I am pregnant! Finally going to be a mommy!!
Due Date: July 20th, 2006
7/3/06 - Alana Kristine Holloway was born!! at 10:31pm, 7lbs 15oz 20 1/2in long! She is beautiful and we cant wait for everyone to meet her.
6/26/06 - The doctors appointment went well. Baby Alana has moved into
the correct position and is doing fine...YAY! Doctor says he thinks she is about
6lbs and expects her to reach 8lbs before birth, and that is right on track for
what I was expecting too. They did a strep-B culture to check if there was
bacteria that may get to the baby during delivery, its a normal test just so
they know if I need to be on antibiotics during delivery or not and I will get
the results at the next appointment. Other then that he said that she looks
completely healthy and right on track. My BP was 117/70 and I have gone up 6lbs
again for a total of 34lbs gained now...but I think probably 4lbs of that was
the lunch I just ate before the appointment! :) Or at least I hope so! Just
counting down the days now! 24 days to go!
My feelings - I am feeling ok lately...just running lower and lower on
energy every day. I have only been able to sleep about 2-3 hours at a time
before I need a bathroom break or some Tums or just need to adjust. I can go
back to sleep after that but 2-3 hours at a time just isn't enough to get myself
fully rested in a night. Other then that the rash is still about 99% gone...My
stomach is getting itchy but I believe it is because this child is trying to
tear me in 2 and stretch me out! So I think it is just from the skin stretching.

36 weeks Belly pictures!
6/22/06 - Doctors appointment got rescheduled to the
26th, since my doctor is sick, but here are some pictures at 36 weeks!
Officially 9 months pregnant today! Only 27 days to go! I am getting so
amazingly excited it isn't even funny!
Everyone just keep praying that Alana will be turned into the head down
position when I go in on Monday, so I can stop worrying about that! Then
we are smooth sailing! Ill update after the appointment on Monday
afternoon!
34 weeks doctors appointment - 6/8/06
The appointment today went well, I met with the Nurse Midwife again
instead of the doctor, they are both wonderful. My BP was normal at
122/77...Alana's Heart rate was normal...and I only gained another 4 lbs
up to a total of 28lbs gained, so still doing good. Only problem is that
the midwife thinks that Alana may be breech!:( She wasn't able to check
to be sure today since there was someone in the Ultrasound room, but she
wrote it on my chart to check in 2 weeks at my next appointment. If she
is, the midwife said that I could schedule a C-section <UMM NO!:(>,
attempt to have the doctor move Alana <.very dangerous!>, or just wait a
little longer to see if she will move on her own. So everyone pray that
I don't have to worry about it and that Alana will move to where she
belongs!!!
My feelings -
I am feeling fine other then the worry that Alana might be breech! Just
anxious to finally have her here! with all the new clothes and
everything we are completely ready to have her here, and I just cant
wait to hold her and see what she looks like!:) As for the itching from
the previous appointment...the PUPPPS has gotten SO much better from
before! The medicine I am taking now <Claritin and Pepcid AC together>
are working well! The itching has just about stopped completely, and
most of the rash itself is gone! Thank God for relief!! I don't think I
would have lasted 6 more weeks itching like I was!
Next doctors appointment - June 22, 2006

shower...and all the clothes!! all the drawers are full as well but I
didn't open them to take pictures!:) Just the closet! Any who! here you

***Alana's Room so far...***
Well, I had my baby shower on Saturday, June 3rd! It was lots of fun,
more people showed up then expected and Alana and I got lots of fun
stuff!!! She has so much clothing it isn't even funny! She even has
quite a few outfits for when she is a year!! All the big stuff is
accounted for and all we really noticed that she is short on is bath
towels and toys...other then that she has some of everything! Thanks to
everyone who was able to make it to the shower I wish I could have had
one closer to home for family too! it was a blast and thanks for all the
gifts as well! Thank you cards will make it out one of these days! lol!

32 weeks doctors appointment - 5/25/06
Well my appointment wasn't supposed to be until next
Thursday, but I moved it up to today because I have a rash on my belly
and it is driving me insane and I was hoping the doctors might be able
to help me out! Well I found out I have something called Pruritic
Urticarial Papules and Plaques of Pregnancy or
PUPPPS
for short. This is a link to tell you a little about
PUPPPS since I couldn't explain it if I wanted to! lol
PUPPPS
Basically it isn't harmful to me or the baby but it is just a horrible
itchy rash <looks like bug bites> that is all over my arms, legs, and
belly. It will go away shortly after Alana is born and hopefully never
return...as it usually only occurs in first time pregnancies...
Other then that everything is normal and on track. My BP was 115/70, and
Alana's HB was strong and normal. They said because of where they heard
her HB she might be breech, but it is still to early to worry about it
and they will just keep an eye out. I gained another 2 lbs so I am up to
24 lbs total gain, great by me! only 8 weeks/55 days to go! <.I'm not
counting or anything!>
My feelings -
I am just SOOO Itchy! I don't have the time to think about anything
else...!:( it is manageable while I'm not paying attention to it but
just sitting here all I can think about is wanting to scratch! it is
quite crazy!!:( I just can't wait for Alana to get here and to hopefully
be done with this itching, and have a beautiful baby girl to show off!:)

After talking and talking and talking, and even some arguing! we finally
have a name to call our first baby girl!
29 Weeks 3D Ultrasound Pictures
29 wks doctors appointment - 5/4/06
Another normal appointment, the doctor did a quick ultrasound to double
check the sex again and he looked at her heart to make sure it was
developing normally and he said everything looks healthy and great. I
could see her little tummy going up and down while she is practicing her
breathing! it was soo neat! The doctor also said that she was about 3
lbs and is head down already, actually she hasn't moved! heh There is
still time that she could be flipped or anything but for now she is in
the right place and ready to go! My BP was 110/70 nice and low! and I
gained another 11 lbs this month, which I'm not excited about, but the
doctor said I am doing great and not to worry. I am up to 22lbs total
weight gain now. Only 11 weeks to go! I cant believe it!
My feelings -
I am nervous and excited at the same time. It seems like time is going
soo fast now I don't know if I will be ready when she finally gets here!
But I really am enjoying the experience and I cant wait to have her
here! I have been having some sciatic pains, and hip pains, but I am
managing fine...Just trying to stay off my feet where I can. It is also
getting difficult to sleep at night and I'm not looking forward to that
getting any worse since I am just exhausted lately!, but I am dealing
with it and just taking afternoon naps!:)
Next doctors appointment - 6/1/06
25wks doctors appointment - 4/6/06
Everything is still on track and going great according to the doctor. I
was expecting to get a full Ultrasound today for measurements and all
but the doctor said that since things seemed to be going so well and
there is no cause for concern, that it isn't necessary to do another
Ultrasound. So I was disappointed about that but I guess that is a good
sign that he things things are going so well! So I am still looking
forward to going back at 30 weeks to have the 3D/4D Ultrasound video
made and some more pictures! Other then that I gained 3 more lbs so I am
up to a total gain of 11lbs which is great! My BP was 122/68 and the FHR
was normal and strong! only 15 weeks to go!!
My feelings -
I am getting more and more excited every day! some gifts have started to
arrive and that makes it seem more real that it isn't going to be much
longer and I will have a new baby in my arms! I am still working with
Kevin on figuring out a name for her but I think we still have a good
amount of time to figure that out yet, so I am giving Kevin time to read
the name book and give me more suggestions! So hopefully in another
month or so we may have a choice made! Other then that I feel great and
have started to count down the weeks!!
Next doctors appointment - 5/4/06
Ok I went for the Ultrasound Yesterday and got 11 pics!!! YAY! She
scanned for almost 45 mins so I was totally shocked! but this little
girl was not cooperating to get good pics of her face and all...she was
moving around a lot but not moving her hands out of her face! TURD!! We
did confirm for sure that it is a girl though!! her ankles were crossed
but legs were open enough at the top to know for sure! She is totally
adorable! in the foot picture it looks like she has her daddy's toes!
<very long:)> I cant wait to go back at 30 weeks and get the whole
Ultrasound done with the video of it and all!! It is going to be a great

wk 4 days appointment - 3/6/06
Another normal appointment except I asked the doc to do a quick U/S so
Kevin could be there to see the sex, hopefully anyways, and he was ok
with it! So he looks around a bit and says 90% a GIRL!! So its
not a definite or anything, but it is enough for me to say its a girl
for now! I have another appointment on April 6th, and I hope to get
another U/S and we will be able to confirm that it is a girl a little
more! We will see. Everything else is great, heartbeat sounded strong,
and my BP was slightly higher, 122/83 but nothing to be concerned about.
I also gained 8 lbs now, only 3 pre-pregnancy, so that's not too bad.
My Feelings:
Things are going great for me, Nothing changed really although I am
starting to realize how big I am getting! People are noticing in public,
and touching my belly!
and I am totally exciting bout finding out the sex for sure! I am ok
thinking its a girl for now but, there is a big chance that it is still
a boy! So I'm holding out till then, at least for Kevin's sake!:)

17 week appointment - 2/9/06
Normal checkup and all is well and moving along the way it should be.
Baby's heart rate was strong and loud, my blood pressure was normal and
Still no weight gain! My next appointment is in the beginning of March
and will be for the Ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby!
My feelings:
Still feeling great. Not very many noticeable symptoms. I am feeling the
baby move a little bit now and that is exciting. I'm just waiting to
find out the sex and be able to start buying some things! And hopefully
be able to get Kevin to help me choose some names!

13 week appointment - 1/12/06
I got to hear the heartbeat! yay! I have a slight UTI according to the
doctor, and I'm being put on antibiotics for that I guess...ohh and I
found out I lost 5 lbs! and over the holidays no less! I'm proud! But
other then that, nothing new, Doctor says all looks good and I will go
back in February.
My feelings:
I hardly feel pregnant anymore. I am still a little more sleepy then
usual but I am eating normally, just less, and feeling fine! I think
this 2nd trimester is going to fly by!

8 Week appointment - 12/8/05
A lot of blood was taken, many tests done, but the important part is,
all is well and on schedule! The ultrasound measured 8w 1d which is
right where I should be. I also was able to see the heartbeat on the
Ultrasound which was very good for me! My BP was normal and no weight
gain so far.
YAY I go back in January.
My feelings:
It is really starting to set in now that I have seen the ultrasound
picture and a heart beat. Still wishing time would pass a bit faster
though so I would feel a bit more reassured!!
My symptoms:
Still not a whole lot, same symptoms as before and having some cravings
lately.. I've also been a little emotional lately too, and that can be
really annoying!

6wks 3 days - 11/27/05
My feelings:
I wish time would just pass faster right now. I'm not feeling any
symptoms and I want to hear the heart beat to make this feel a whole lot
more real!
My symptoms:
Not a whole lot, Guess I'm lucky:) I have a little bit of breast
tenderness, I am taking more frequent potty breaks, and I am sleeping a
bit more.
