Alana's First year

On Monday July 3rd, 2006 at 10:31pm, Alana Kristine came into the world, 7lbs 15oz, 20 1/2in long and Beautiful as can be!

Alana's Biliruben levels were a little high 4 days after birth and the doctors decided to readmit her to the hospital for some lite therapy. We spent 2 days there with her under the lights getting a tan, and her levels have come down very well and the doctor released her again. She will be tested again 7/10/06 to make sure she is maintaining the level herself and then she is good to go! Below is a link of pictures from her hospital visit.

7-12-06 to 7-17-06

7/17/2006 - 2 week appointment- Alana had her 2 week appointment today and she is doing great! She is 8lbs 0oz, and 21 1/2 inches, she has grown an inch and gained an oz! And they said the gaining the oz is really good for her at 2 weeks being a breastfed baby since they usually take a little longer to gain their birth weight back. So yay for us! They said she is in the 95th% for Height and head circumference, and 40-60% for her weight. They also checked her Biliruben once more and she is down to 10.1!! YAY!! so she is definitely getting better there!

I also had my BP checked again to make sure it is going down, and it has leveled out, last week it was 150/98 and now it is 130/80 so much much better! YAY for healthy baby and healthy mommy!

8/4/06 - 4 week checkup - Alana went to the doctor for a 4 week checkup today. She is now 9lbs <60th %>, and just over 22inches long <.97th %>. She is doing great, growing well and healthy as can be! She will go back on September 5th for her 2 month appointment and her first set of shots. She has rolled over a couple of times from her tummy to her back, and is holding up her head very well. I cant believe it has been 4 weeks already!
